-Clean swimwear or other appropriate attire such as workout clothes
-Bottoms must be full coverage
-No exposed undergarments other than sports bras (no underwire). Undergarments must be covered by shorts or other appropriate attire
-No shoes in the sauna or cold plunge. Non-slip shoes may be worn outside or in the showers, but are not required
-No metal jewelry. Please remove before your session
Rules & Etiquette
Attire
-Check in with staff upon arrival
-We have the right to refuse service to anyone not in compliance with these policies
-Minors under the age of 15 are prohibited. Minors between the ages of 15 and 17 must be accompanied by a legal guardian.
-If you are pregnant and/or have medical conditions (including but not limited to: heart disease, circulatory and respiratory conditions, and epilepsy) consult a doctor before using the sauna or cold plunge. `
-Stay hydrated before your session
-Allow a 5-minute cooldown after exercising before using the sauna
-Use of the sauna or cold plunge under the influence of alcohol, drugs, and certain medications is prohibited. Consult your doctor about your medications before participating
-For hygiene purposes and to protect the sauna from sweat damage, participants are required to bring and sit on a towel when using the sauna
-No smoking, exercising, eating, or drinking (other than water) inside; GLASS BOTTLES ARE PROHIBITED
-Electronics, ear plugs, or any personal belongings (other than a towel, a non-glass water bottle) are prohibited. If you have a personal medical device please consult with your doctor if it is safe to use at extreme temperatures
-Personal belongings may be stored inside lockers located in Cityside Gym. Locks are not provided
-Shower before, in between, and after the sauna and cold plunge. Perfumes, lotions, and oils are prohibited
-Use of outside water or oil on the heating rocks is prohibited. Use only the water provided by staff.
-Do not use the sauna to dry clothes or place materials near the heater
Before Your Session
During & After Your Session
-USE THE SAUNA AND COLD PLUNGE AT YOUR OWN RISK
-Exercise caution as the surface of the rocks, stove, and surrounding areas are extremely hot. The sauna stove can reach temperatures over 200°F
-Limit sauna sessions to 15 minutes
-Respect the personal space of other participants
-Leave the sauna or cold plunge immediately if you experience any nausea, dizziness, hot flashes, cold chills, headaches, or other discomfort
-Use of a towel or robe is required when outside the sauna or cold plunge to prevent water and sweat from spreading
-Enter and exit sauna calmly but quickly. Close the door immediately upon entering or exiting the sauna
-Enter and exit the cold plunge slowly to prevent potential hazards from the cold temperature and slippery surfaces
-If using the sauna only, allow a cool-down period after
-Warm-up gradually after the cold plunge. Consider sipping a warm drink or doing light movements
-Stay hydrated after your sauna and cold plunge sessions
